Farewell, Laura!

It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude that the Board of Northwest Ohio Community Shares (NOCS) has announced that Laura Harrison is leaving her position as Executive Director to move to Arizona. Her husband, Kyle, has landed an amazing job.

During her tenure, Ms. Harrison showed dedication to her position, passion for our agencies, and enthusiasm for our mission. She will be greatly missed by the staff, Board, member agencies and our community partners.

Mr. Steve Wagener, Board Chair, stated that “We wish Laura the very best and the greatest of success. We are thrilled for her, Kyle, and Tanner as they embark on a new adventure.”

While the search for a new Executive Director is in process, Pamela Pullella, will once again be assisting us as the Interim Executive Director. Ms. Pullella, who is not planning to seek the position, is retired from higher education having spent a majority of her experience in human resources management.

NOCS is in the process of conducting a search to find our new Executive Director. If you know of anyone interested in this position, please direct them to the Center for Nonprofit Resources website (c4npr.org) for more information.

As always, NOCS is committed to its mission and vision and will continue to work tirelessly to generate essential operating funds for local nonprofits that are working for positive change. Founded in 1997, Community Shares is northwest Ohio’s only workplace-giving federation with a focus on social justice, health and human services, animal welfare, the arts and the environment. We look forward to serving our member agencies through this transition process and beyond.
